Sluagh Dragon

That out of the way, here's another early sprite. I was especially proud of the wings. The bones in the tail sort of bug me a bit, so if anyone has any ideas on that feel free to offer them up.

EDIT: I redid the sprite. It looks 100% better now than it did. <3 I don't know if I'm going to resubmit these sprites to DC, because I doubt the concept will ever be used...but I am proud of this now. :3

This was actually originally intended to be a lich dragon for someone else's concept, but it turned into a sluagh. The name, "sluagh," is a reference to Celtic myth, which, according to Wikipedia, were the spirits of evil dead people who flew around trying to take souls from the dying to join them. Pretty nasty bunch. But this dragon pretty much did that - descended upon dying animals/dragons/people and consumed them, making the soul a part of itself.

The hatchlings are just huggable. :3 The egg was pretty boss, too, but I'm not going to put that up here since the lineart isn't mine.

You can see the original, unfinished but still awesomesauce sketch here. Several changes were made over the course of spriting. I need to finish this because it's so awesome. D:
